Believing in the importance of documentation, the “Daughter of the Nile” movement launched a media monitoring report on domestic violence crimes in the first half of the current year 2021, for the months of “January, February, March, April, May, and June”.
The report, which relied on documentation from Egyptian and Arab news websites and newspapers, including “The Seventh Day, Masrawy, Al-Masry Al-Youm, Al-Watan, BBC, Al-Arabiya, Akhbar Al-Youm” and others, revealed that some crimes were repeated with the same details, and many crimes appeared in Lower Egypt, Delta and Alexandria governorates, Perhaps this is due to the ease and the presence of many press reports on those governorates, and the most famous crimes were murder and beatings that lead to murder. In the governorates of Upper Egypt, the crimes of circumcision and the marriage of underage girls spread.
